Projects and counting

Located on family farms, capturing dairy methane for beneficial use.

CalBio develops 3 types of dairy digester projects:

Cluster RNG Projects: At the dairy digester, the biogas is conditioned and then piped to a central facility. Upon arriving at the central facility, the biogas is upgraded to nearly pure methane and injected into the utility pipeline. The Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) can be used to fuel vehicles or used by a utility or data center to generate electricity.

Virtual Pipeline Projects: At the dairy digester, the biogas is upgraded to nearly pure methane and is then trucked offsite for use in vehicles.

Electricity Projects: At the dairy digester, the biogas is cleaned and then used to power an internal-combustion engine or a fuel cell to generate electricity. The electricity can be sold to utility, used to power electric vehicles, or used to power data centers.
